Thursday, June 26 in Rome has opened an extraordinary exhibition that MAXXI, Museo Nazionale Delle Arti of XXI Century, dedicated to the architect and world renowned sculptor Gaetano Pesce.
On the occasion of the exhibition has been shown to the public a giant reproduction of the famous chair by the female anthropomorphic form Up 5_6 that Pesce designed in 1969 to bring attention to the plight of women.
The chair was designed for the Italian company C&B (Cassina & Busnelli) that has become, after the corporate reorganization, the current and very well-known B&B Italia, who then went on to play the chair since 2000.
In the same chair, there's also an original version in pure solid wood.
